You will find that in some of your projects your initial strands are not long enough to reach the required length, and you will need to add strands.

Leave enough length to add your extra strands and it will be a piece of cake!

This is how you do it:

Tie a knot without tightening the ends. Now pull the new strands through the centre of the created loops. Leave about 2cm of the new strands sticking out. Carefully tie three consecutive knots using the new strands, not incorporating the old strands. Once the new strands have been knotted a few times they are securely anchored and you can trim the old strands using a small pair of scissors.

Tip: To make sure the strands do not unravel, put a dab of clear drying craft/PVA glue onto your last knot and leave it to dry before trimming off excess strands.
